Tips: What is ripple voltage and why should we measure ripple voltage?
Ripple voltage refers to the power frequency AC voltage contained in the output DC voltage. The DC voltage should have been a fixed value, but it is often obtained by rectifying and filtering the AC voltage. Since the filtering is not thorough, there will be residual AC components. Even if it is powered by battery, ripple voltage will be produce by the fluctuation of the load. In fact, even the best reference voltage source device has ripples in its output voltage. The ripple voltage generated by the rectification will cause errors in the measured DC voltage and instability of the test power supply. Therefore, in the factory and acceptance test of DC high-voltage test equipment, the voltage ripple coefficient must be measured. According to the rules, the ripple coefficient S of DC voltage cannot be greater than 3%.
DC voltage sensor is a special voltage sensor for unidirectional ripple DC voltage measurement. It has a measuring range from DC 10mV/50mV/75mV/5V/150V/300V/500V to 1000V, output signal 0-5V/0-10V/0-20mA/4-20mA, supply voltage DC 12/24V, IP20 and DIN rail installation. Isolated DC voltage transducer uses modulation and demodulation technology to achieve input/output/power supply isolation.
