Tips: Circuit breaker maintenance
Circuit breaker should be maintained to prevent from failure and leakage.

  1. Keep circuit breaker clean and air dry in use. Otherwise it may cause the following consequences: The insulation caused by the broken main contact makes the voltaic arc re-ignite and even generates the burst of arc extinguish chamber. The dielectric strength of supported porcelain bottle and arc extinguishing chamber is reduced, resulting in discharging. patent leather, rust and others may block the gas port, leading to the malfunction of main contact and congestion. If foreign bodies enter into the arc extinguishing chamber, it may bring about the burning of non-linear resistance due to long-term electricity caused by poor contact of main contact, even the burst of non-linear resistance porcelain bottle.
  2. Change the rubber parts regularly. The main circuit breaker is a pneumatic and electrical device with complicated structure. The rubber parts should be regularly replaced because components of main circuit breaker have high standard for sealing performance.
  3. Check main components regularly. The main components should be regularly checked to maintain a good technical condition.
  4. Clear carbide or metal particles inside the arc cover. If the arc cover is broken, it should be replaced. If there are small metal particles on the surface of main contact, they should be removed by gently wiping, rather than grinding.
  5. In the process of switching on and off, the movable parts and the parts of arc extinguish chamber work smoothly without blocking. If specific noise occurs from the iron core, the core surface should be cleaned up and the transmission mechanism should be injected with lubricating oil.
