Electromagnetic brake applications

Tips: How the electromagnetic brake works?
The electromagnetic power-off brake is mainly composed of a magnetic yoke equipped with a coil, an armature, a coupling plate, a spring, a friction disk, a gear sleeve and the like. The spring is installed in the magnetic yoke, and the armature can move in the axial direction. The magnetic cymbal is fixed to the frame by mounting screws to adjust the gap. After the specified value is not moved, the gear sleeve is connected to the transmission shaft through the key, and the outer teeth of the gear sleeve mesh with the internal teeth of the friction disc.
When the coil is de-energized, under the action of the spring force, the friction disc generates friction with the armature and the base (or the coupling plate), and the drive shaft is braked by the gear sleeve. When the coil is energized, under the action of the electromagnetic force, the armature is sucked into the magnetic yoke, causing the friction disc to loosen and release the brake.
