Features

The installation must guarantee the inclinometer sensor bottom is parallel to measured face,and reduce the influence of dynamic and acceleration to the tilt sensor. This inclinometer sensor can be installed horizontally or mounted vertically, for installation please refer to the following scheme.

Tips: Problems during the actual installation of inclinometer sensor.

Based on the actual installation conditions of the industrial site, the status of inclinometer sensor in most mechanical equipment is as follows:

  1. The sensitive axis of inclinometer sensor is not coincident with or parallel to the actual tilt axis.
  2. The actual tilt axis can only be estimated, and cannot be accurately judged and determined.
  3. When the X-axis is tilted, the Y-axis will also change at the same time due to the processing or matching errors of the machine under test, which will cause a horizontal axis error. The greater the angle, the greater the error (except for high-precision machinery and equipment).
  4. During the movement, the tilt axis is in the process of regular or irregular changes.

In most industrial field measurements, both horizontal axis error and axis misalignment occur, and they may exist at the same time. Using a three-axis turntable for testing, these effects can be found.

Therefore, to calculate the actual measurement accuracy of the inclinometer sensor, you cannot simply look at the non-linear index, but also look at the horizontal axis error, axis alignment and other indicators.
