Tips: How to avoid the burning out of machine tool control transformer?

In the machining industry, almost every machine tool equipment has a control transformer. The control transformer of machine tool mainly plays the role of reducing voltage, controlling high voltage through low voltage, so as to ensure the safety of mechanical operators. However, there will always be complaints that the machine tool control transformer always burns out frequently. In fact, the reason for burning the transformer is nothing more than overload and short circuit.

1. Because the control transformer of machine tool is burned out due to overload, it is required to replace it with a transformer with larger capacity. The rated power of the applied machine tool control transformer must be greater than that of the driven electric appliance.

2. In addition, the circuit fault causes the short circuit of the low-voltage control circuit, which causes the current of the secondary coil of the machine tool control transformer to be too large, exceeding the rated current of the transformer, thus burning the machine tool control transformer. In this regard, the upper limit current insurance can be added in front of the transformer to play a protective role.

3. Of course, some inspection work is essential. It is well known that the machine tool control transformer will use contactor when realizing low voltage control high voltage.
