Tips: Variable frequency drive storage notifications
If the VFD is not used for long periods of time, it may be damaged, which is caused by the environmental conditions that do not meet the storage conditions of the VFD. Therefore, the VFD should be placed in the packing case when stored, and note the following:

  1. It is the best to store in absence of sun, no dust and dry place.
  2. The ambient temperature is best in the range of -20~40℃.
  3. The relative humidity is best in the range of 20% to 90%, without condensation.
  4. Avoid long-term storage in corrosive gases and liquids environment.
  5. Long term storage (2-3 years) will lead to electrolytic capacitor degradation. Adding voltage can self-repair certain degree of deterioration. In long-term storage, it should be regularly (within 6 months) powered on for at least 5 hours, and the input voltage should be gradually raised to the rated value by voltage regulator. If the storage period is more than 10 years, the electrolytic capacitors rubber sealed will lose efficacy and must be replaced.
