Tips: Notice for soft starter

  1. The installation and maintenance of the soft starter shall be carried out by qualified professional.
  2. Do not use high-voltage test equipment (such as megger) to test the insulation of soft starter.
  3. If the motor is required to run reversibly, an inverting contactor can be installed on the incoming line side. Be careful not to install it on the output side of soft starter.
  4. The coil-type motor rotor can be winded with appropriate starter resistance to improve the starting torque, the soft starter can also be used to start the coil-type motor. When the motor reaches the top speed and keeps stable, starting resistance shall be bypassed to reduce power loss.
  5. It is strictly forbidden to place the power factor compensation capacitor on the output side of the soft starter and the capacitor cannot be switched during start-up.
