Tips: Why does the sanitary butterfly valve leak?
Sanitary butterfly valves often leak air and cannot close. This problem is most likely due to the large pressure difference between the two sides of the pipeline controlled by the butterfly valve. Therefore, when the butterfly valve is opened, the internal disc is constantly impacted and damaged. The same is true when closing, due to the large pressure on the side to be closed, an error occurs during closing, which causes this undesirable phenomenon. Of course, the sanitary butterfly valve itself may also reduce the air tightness due to internal wear. Certain pressure regulating measures can be set downstream of the butterfly valve control pipeline to avoid such undesirable phenomena that often occur in butterfly valves.
Welded and tri clamp hand operated SS sanitary butterfly valve is a hygienic valve with purity requirements for food and chemical industries. This 4 inch manual BF valve is made from 304 stainless steel, which is simple structure and high performance for flow control, throttling and steam service.
