Tips: What are the differences between shielded and unshielded proximity sensor?
As for shielded proximity sensor, due to the special internal shielded function, the magnetic flux is concentrated in front of the sensor. The sensor is horizontally installed in the metal.
As for unshielded proximity sensor, the magnetic flux widely occurs in front of the sensor, because it is especially susceptible to the surrounding metals (magnetic body). Certain gap should be maintained between sensor head and surrounding metals.
