Tips: Fast and Furious - Do you really need a high-speed industrial camera?
Speed, in the HV industrial cameras, can be divided into two kinds:
One is the speed of time, which refers to the number of images that an industrial camera collects in a unit time. Another is the speed limit of a target captured clearly by an industrial camera.
The former is called the frame rate of an industrial camera, and the latter is called the exposure speed of an industrial camera.
The reason for choosing the first velocity is that your project has a fast production speed and it needs to detect a large number of workpieces in a short time. The number of workpieces detected per second is the basis for you to choose the HV industrial cameras. You shall choose an HV industrial camera whose frame rate is larger than the number detected.
The reason for choosing the second velocity is that there’s a fast moving target in your project. If you want to capture it and see the true track clearly, you need to know the time that your target goes through the field of view, and choose an HV industrial camera whose exposure speed is greater than the moving speed. Grab It!
