Tips: How to select a timer relay?

The selection of timer relay mainly focuses on delay mode and parameter. The following aspects should be considered when selecting a time delay relay.

1. Selection of delay mode
There are two types of timer relays, power-on delay or power-off delay, which should be selected according to the requirements of the control circuit. The reset time after the action should be longer than the inherent action time, so as to avoid misoperation or even no delay, which is especially important in the case of repeated delay circuits and frequent operations.

2. Timer relay type selection
For occasions with low requirements for delay time accuracy, generally use electromagnetic or air damping time delay relays with lower prices; otherwise, for high requirements on time delay accuracy, electronic time relays can be used.

3. Coil voltage selection
Select the voltage of the relay's attraction coil including 12VDC / 24VDC / 110VAC / 220VAC, etc., according to the voltage of the control circuit.

4. Selection of power parameter changes
Air damping or electric time relays are better than transistors for occasions with large power supply voltage fluctuations, and electric time relays are not suitable for occasions with large power frequency fluctuations, and air damping timer relay is not suitable for large temperature changes.
