Note:

  1. When the load is a resistive load, the maximum load current of the selected SSR should be 2~3 times greater than the actual load current;
  2. When the load is an inductive load, the maximum load current of the selected SSR should be more than 7~8 times the actual load current.
  3. When the maximum load current is higher than 10A, a heat sink must be installed to the solid state relay, or the SSR relay should be mounted on a metal base plate with heat dissipation effect, and the thermal grease is applied between them.

Tips: Interference to solid state relays

Solid state relays should be far away from electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference source when installed and used in case of the relay’s mis-operation and out-of-control state. SSR relays are also a kind of interference source, which will produce radiation or power line interference through the load, and the degree of interference varies with the load size. The interference caused by the resistance of incandescent lamp is small, and the zero-voltage type is conducted near the zero-crossing area of the AC power supply (i.e. zero voltage), so the interference is also small. The reduction method is to install inductance coils in series in the load. In addition, cross interference should be avoided between the signal line and the power line.
